It's 8:40am on Easter Sunday morning. Normally I don't write in such haste, but today I just wanted to think upon the resurrection for a second. I was watching the History Channel's discovery on the shroud of Turin. Now even if that isn't the real linen that wrapped Jesus' body in the tomb, I believe it's a great depiction of what Christ actually went through. One of the archaeologists on the show was magnifying the blood stains with the help of technology.
The man gasped at the scene and said under his breath, "He was beat to hell."
Literally. Jesus was beat to hell, but he OVERCAME it! I pray you understand this morning to a greater extent what Jesus did for us.
"I am the living one. I died, but look--I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave."--Revelation 1:18
